New(er) Testaments

The New(er) Testaments is a self-initiated project which started after I found a Holy Bible littering the street- the predominate force which kept our society civil for generations now an outdated relic littering our streets.
After inspecting the Bible it was clearly once a cherished and loved object, which had been badly mistreated and forgotten about during its lifetime; the previous owners inscription on the tattered inside cover, lovingly relating it to himself should he loose it. Underlined and bookmarked waterstained pages relating to chapters and phrases to remind him how he should live his life. So how can something which used to be so cherished and worshiped be now literally trodden on in the street? Has our society given up on religion or have we simply out grown out heritage?
This took me down a journey where I uncovered the state of the present day church- religion in reality does not hold such a force over our present day, scientific perceptions- it has become riddled with stigma which in turn led it to becoming an outdated symbol of our past- but what if these wholehearted messages of the bible were still present today? Would we be so inept for loving one and other? Would there be murders, looting and vandalism throughout our society?
It is true that if we all 'Love Thy Neighbour' our communities would be such a healthier place- but at present who is preaching these messages- some 'perverted' old men draped in robes on a Sunday; not ideal for our 21st century lifestyle. If we all took the time to live our life by these simple messages of love and honour our lives would be such a happier place- so I decided to act Graphically.
I took a sample of those same messages which were so lovingly bookmarked by a previous owner then recreated and reimagined them for our modern, visual society.
